Frequently Asked Questions

Affordable Solutions for Better Living

Offering unparalleled craftsmanship and a personalised touch, Langford’s is proud to provide a range of custom-made, fitted designs for all types of spaces. Here are the answers to some frequently asked questions we receive about our bespoke, handmade furniture and fitting services.

Yes. All furniture that Langford’s build is delivered fully assembled and fitted by one of our expert cabinet makers. For very large pieces, we can construct the furniture to be disassembled for easier access.

On request, our team can install your bespoke kitchen at an extra quoted charge. But due to the ready-assembled state of our cabinets, some of our customers prefer to source their own kitchen installer or install it themselves. Rest assured, we offer guidance and support throughout the process.

Yes, all our furniture is painted or lacquered in our factory before it is installed, however if you would prefer to paint it yourself then that is fine. There are a large amount of manufacturers that will supply and fit your furniture then paint/lacquer it for quite a substantial extra cost; whereas we include this service in your quoted price; you are more than welcome to come to our factory and see your unpainted furniture before we finish it, for your peace of mind and so you can see how high the quality of our workmanship is.
Yes, we have an intimate showroom adjoined to our factory. Come and explore our finished products and works in progress.

Our handmade furniture and fitted units are custom designed to accommodate all space challenges, including uneven walls, sloping ceilings, and alcoves. If you have a challenging barn or loft conversion, a member of our team will be able to chat with you and discuss options available.

We source our materials from our suppliers that we have used for many years, and we only ever use top quality timber; we discuss with our customers what finishes they would like and go from there. We work closely with our trusted granite company and can send our customers plans to them to get quotations for granite/quartz worktops. We will also advise and order accessories if the customer so wishes.

We will be as much involved in the design of your furniture as you want us to be, the most typical procedure we work to is one of our team will visit you and have a chat about your requirements, take some measurements; then come back to you with a quote including a price inclusive of building, finishing, delivering and installing; and if necessary a hand drawn plan. If you are happy with your quote, then we will ask for a deposit (typically half of the final price) then commence work. The full balance will be due when we have finished, and you are happy with your product.

As a family-run business, we maintain a close relationship with our customers. We don’t employ a sales team; hence, all communication will be directly with the owners or our office manager who are familiar with every facet of your project.
